: (1) If a foreign state has requested to provide any document, evidence, information or item in accordance with Section 19 and if such document, evidence, information or item can be provided according to the law, the relevant authority or court shall provide such document, An order must be made to send a certified copy of the evidence, information or item.
(2) If a foreign state requests to provide a copy of the document, evidence or information as per sub-section (1) or the item itself, the relevant authority or the court may order to keep the certified copy of such document, evidence or information and send the copy and, if the item, the details of the same. Such items will be provided by keeping the records mentioned.
(3) If there is a request from a foreign state to search or seize an item, the relevant agency shall search or seize the item in accordance with the law.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (3), if a request is made to search or seize an item in connection with an offense, the request to search or seize such item may be rejected if the act is not considered an offense according to the law of both Nepal and the requesting foreign state.
